The Move to TX

It was Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2009, when we arrived at Las Brisas Luxury Apartments in Round Rock TX, our home for the next few months. The apts were called "luxury" because the Clubhouse consisted of a resort looking pool, a basketball court, a business center, a movie theatre, pool tables and other games, and a bbq patio area around the pool. It was pretty nice, until everyone and their mom decided to live there, when we got there it was empty, then it became crowded. Every time we'd go down to take a swim there were loud people smoking and drinking in the water, no fun if you ask me.
The floorplan to the apt that we were living in, now imagine where the foyer is, everything to us was oppossite, so the utility, dining, and kitchen were on the left not the right, and so forth. Very cozy for the next month or so.

The Drive to TX

We'd been married a little under 2 months and we packed up everything we owned and stored it at his brother's house, the few things that we could pack into the car to survive the summer, we packed into Jeff's Subaru and headed out to Austin, Texas!

Welcome to Arizona, the first and only road trip sign we were able to get a photo of.

I don't know what I was doing with my leg...

We also went to the Grand Canyon, and thanks to the GPS we went on the back roads the whole way, only to find out that that part of the GC was "closed". Definitely not a new thing to us, like the time we went to Yellowstone and it was "closed for winter"... we're used to it, actually we almost expect it.

However since we had been traveling for who knows how many hours in the woods looking for the Grand Canyon, I had to go to the bathroom, which I did, and thankfully we had a roll of TP in the car. Then a mile or two down the road, Jeff had to go too, and unfortunately for him, I had the camera! You can't see anything or hear or smell, but it was still funny to watch him squirm!
I love my husband, and I certainly got it back in return. You'll have to ask him though. :)

I'm thinking of starting a blog. A real one. One that makes money. I'm still a stay-at-home mom, but instead of one kid I have 4 now...
